If you are hijacked and kidnapped (20% of HiJack’s involve kidnappings), your cellphone will be switched off by attackers so no-one will know where you are. Hijack Alert then becomes the final chance to find you quickly by tracking your hijacked car instead of your cellphone.

Hijack Alert is for drivers with an active tracking system. There is no doubt that hijacking is a growing problem in South Africa. Hijackers always take the driver’s cell phone and usually switch it off within a few minutes of their attack. This means HelpMe cannot continue to track the cell phone, but your tracking company can track the car if they are alerted by HelpMe.

In the event of a suspected hijacking, HelpMe security specialists will coordinate with your car tracking company so they can locate and rescue you and your car, even once your cell phone is switched off by hijackers. Hijack Alert turns your HelpMe app into a panic button for your tracking company, when every second counts.
